What is a CNC Router?

1.A CNC router is a MACHINE that is very similar to the commonly
used handheld router that is utilized for cutting various materials
2.But the movements and rotation of Router is controlled by CNC
3.CNC means Computer numerical control
4.CNC enable the machine to function automatically
5.By using CAD and CAM software on a computer, you can tell the CNC router exactly how to machine any material to get a precise output.
6.It automate tool movement and tool rotation according to the
programmed command or NC codes similar to a CNC milling
machine
7.CNC Router is Generally used for machining
soft-metals
like brass,copper,gold,silver etc..
&
other materials,
like wood, composites, plastic, stone and foam,etc..
8.CNC Router build structure is generally Bridge type or Gantry type
9.Some of the Application Areas of CNC Router are Signage,
Cabinets and furniture,
Aluminum and brass machining,
Prototyping and 3D modeling,stone carving,
Musical instruments,Jewelery Making
door carvings, interior and exterior decorations,
wood panels, sign boards, wooden frames,
moldings. In addition,
it helps in the thermoforming of plastics by
automating the trimming process
10.CNC routers reduce waste and increase productivity,
producing various items in a much shorter amount of time
than using other conventional machines.
101.CNC routers are utilized include hobbies like woodworking, creating prototypes within the engineering field, producing pieces of art, and certain forms of production work.
12.Many hobby and do it yourself (DIY) CNC Machines are in the CNC Router category
13.CNC Router is comparatively is easy to use compare to other CNC machines
14.So it is used by traditional workers in furniture making, stone carving, jewelry making,etc..with ease.
15.Industrial models of CNC routers are extremely large and can take up a good amount of space. However, newer desktop CNC routers are much smaller and can place right on a table.
16.More advanced CNC routers with great capabilities to be incredibly precise in their production processes has also been developed.
