Amana Tool Announces Mirror Finish Solid Carbide Spiral “O” Flute Router Bits for Cutting Plastic and Aluminum Materials

Amana Tool, manufacturers of industrial-quality carbide-tipped, solid carbide and replacement carbide cutting tools, today announced new solid carbide spiral “O” flute router bits with mirror finish for producing clean, smooth cuts in plastic and aluminum materials. The bits are made according to strict tolerances from an exclusive carbide grade and polished to a mirror finish using Amana’s unique process. The two popular lines of router bits, designed to eject chips either up or down, are ideal for industrial applications and CNC systems.
Amana’s spiral plastic cutting solid carbide O-flute mirror finish router bits are designed for use in acrylic materials such as Plexiglas® and Lucite®, nylon, ABS, PE, acetal, PET, HDPE, UHMW, polycarbonates, polypropylene, wood and solid surface. The aluminum cutting solid carbide O-flute mirror finish router bits provide superior cutting results in aluminum, brass, copper and other non-ferrous metals. Available in diameters ranging from 1/8” to 1/4″, the bits are designed with either a right-hand Helix (1/4” plastic #51404; 1/4” aluminum #51402), which is designed to eject the chips upward, or a left-hand Helix (1/4” plastic #51504; 1/4” aluminum #51502) designed to eject the chips downward.
“Our spiral ‘O’ flute router bits are manufactured using innovative techniques and materials that yield superior results with each cut and help make plastic and aluminum projects less labor-intensive,” said Amana Tool technical director, Frank Misiti.
